Whats New
The National University of Singapore has received a gift of $10 million from the Lee Foundation which will fund a new nursing degree programme to be offered by the University in 2006. In memory of Dr Lee Seng Gee’s mother, the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies will be founded. Dr Lee Seng Gee is the son of the late philanthropist, Dr Lee Kong Chian who founded the Lee Foundation. The first intake for the nursing programme will commence in Academic Year 2006. President’s Award of Nurses

The President’s Award for Nurses is a national award given in recognition of the outstanding performance and the significant contributions nurses make to the profession and the community. The award will be presented by the President of the Republic of Singapore on Nurses’ Day 1 August 2006. The closing date for nominations is 15 May 2006.

Courage Fund Bursary Award (For Nurses & Allied Health Professionals)

The bursary awards provide financial assistance to nurses and allied health professionals seeking to upgrade their professional knowledge through formal education. The awards are open to those already serving in the healthcare sector and applicable for diploma, degree and postgraduate courses in healthcare disciplines.
