Nurses and midwives who are registered/ enrolled with the Singapore Nursing board are required to hold a valid practicing certificate to practice nursing or midwifery in Singapore. The Nurses and Midwives Act (1975) established the Singapore Nursing Board and it empowered the Board to register nurses and midwives and to regulate their training, conduct, and practice.
